Overview

I’ve been enjoying being a mixed media artist working with graphic design, fashion photography, and art direction. Graphic design will always hold a special place in my heart, and so will this little curation of my favorite freelance projects.

Art direction: Cetana salon

Art direction, Graphic design, Nov 2019

For this collab with the Cetana hair salon in San Francisco, I art directed a photoshoot, coordinated photography, shot a short video, and edited the images into artworks that later could be used for marketing purposes. The clients wanted to focus on the concept of sustainability for many reasons, primarily because the salon partnered with Aveda at that time, a producer of high-performance vegan hair products. The hair styling incorporated upcycled yarn threads as well as minimalistic hair cuts and “wet hair” looks. The post-editing danced with nature collages, overlays, and layering.

Magazine design: ISKRA

Graphic design, Dec 2018

This is a school project I worked on during my design class at Berkeley Extension, and it was a very exciting one because my background in journalism and design came here together to tell a visual story. This is a story of ISKRA, an adventure mag for those who appreciate art, tech, spiritual awakening and enlightenment, literature, and culture in general.

CD cover design: Chris Gleckman

Graphic design, Nov 2018

For this project I designed a CD cover for a San Francisco based singer and composer Chris Gleckman. The name of the album is Summer Fog, and we aimed at creating a design that would show a beautiful union of a signer and forces of nature. We also wanted San Francisco - an inspiration for the album - to step up in the front rows of the designs. The fog city was incorporated into the CD cover itself, on the main cover, and on the insert.

Branding & website: Kasimira Photography

Graphic design, Apr - May 2019

Almost everyone can take a digital camera and make a killer photograph these days. However, from my experience working with photographer Kasimira, I learned that a photographer is so much more than some pretty pictures. It is determination, patience, sympathy, never ending curiosity, and passion. Kasimira Photography Project, for which I led brand research, concept development, branding identity and website design, is meant to express the owner’s zest for traveling, adventure photography, and people.
